With the A5 Signature installed package, we include a status called "Expired" under the Signature status field for eSign doc object. To use the expiration feature, you can create a time based workflow to set the Status to Expired for any number of days after you sent/created eSign doc. So you are able to configure this process unique for each customer org if they want to use it. Once this status is populated, when a end user tries to access the document, there will be a notification error message that says "This document has expired for signature."
